#2610

A decorative Anglo- Colonial cane fashioned with a huge silver handle and an ebony shaft with horn ferrule. Straight and tapering and personalized with the initials of its first owner SGH, the 12 in. tall handle is hand chased and engraved with a lion and an elephant under, what seems to be, a dense palm tree jungle. In addition to its arresting design, tremendous attention to detail and unblemished condition, this 19th century cane beautifully recreates a tropical atmosphere and is a relic of long gone, colonial days. Overall length 39 in.

#2611

A decorative European town cane with a horn handle and an ebonized hardwood shaft with slim horn collar and ferrule. Of a conventional crook shape, the 4 1/2 in. wide and 3 1/2 in. high handle consists of a plain body fashioned of dark material and a lighter colored front cap in the shape of a dog head. The animal head itself is enlivened by well adjusted blond ears and two inset glass eyes. This elegant cane is from the period around 1900 and conceived to be, with its size and balanced weight, the ideal companion for the strolling, perfect gentleman. It survived intact and still can give a lot of pleasure for any person in need for faithful support. Overall length 35 3/4 in.
